BEST EVENT OF THE YEAR.....I would say :)  The crowd was so much fun!  We went to the Enzian on Saturday to check out the moviegoers heading to the Midnight Shorts of the 2006 Florida Film Festival, and it was a blast.  We had a cameraman, which was a first for the site, and we were interviewing people and having them act out their favorite scenes from movies.  One guy, C-Nugg, as he would like to be called, did an Anchorman that was out of this world.  Make sure you watch these hilarious clips, because if you have any humor parts to your brain, you will laugh more than a little. If I had 4 thumbs, it would get all of them....well between me and Jared, we have 4, so yeah, 4 thumbs up!

St. Patrick's day is always a blast in downtown Orlando. This year was no different. Kacey & I grabbed our Orlando City Beat gear & made our way to Central Avenue this past friday night. The former Kate O'Briens was bombarded by a mixture of sexy green garb, great music, irish appreciation, & of course... alcohol. I had the opportunity to speak with a lot of faces in the crowd. I passed out Orlandocitybeat.com stickers & took crazy pictures of everything from couples, friends, hot ladies, and lets not forget the sober guys that needed a wee more "liquid courage" before approaching the hot ladies. Nonetheless, everyone was happy to be away from work, school, & home.  We took some awesome pictures of various st. patty enthusiasts. The pics are posted on Orlandocitybeat.com. Click on O-lens!

Hey!  So, last Saturday Kasey and I headed out to Firestone.  It was Kasey's first assignment for OrlandoCityBeat, so she was really nervous that she would screw it up...but of course she did awesome!  I was behind the camera, so she got to interact with people the most, and interact she did.......most of the attendees were gay, and that is just always a good time.  Everyone was having a great time, and were all really sweet to us.  It was super packed, and there were sweet dancers, one of which let us take a picture of his package with OCB sticker nearby :)  So I give it both thumbs for being packed, and not with Firestone's usual crowd, but a much more respectful and fun crowd!

Hey Orlando!  It's Brandy, here to fill you in on today's Shock Squad events :)  Kim, Kasey, Jordana and I had a table outside the Student Union at UCF for Market Day.  It was so busy!  Not only did I have a chance to vote for SGA President (Eggnatz....he gave me free Jeremiah's Italian Ice, I couldn't say no to that!) but I was able to buy a sweet skirt made out of a pillowcase! Proceeds go to help "Don't Skirt the Issue", a sexual violence awareness campaign.  It was only $15, so I figured my cheap ass could afford that ;)  If you're interested in purchasing such a skirt (Super ugly pillowcase, but super cute as a skirt!) they'll be there next Wednesday, or you can visit their website at www.dontSKIRTtheissue.com  A bunch of the apartment complexes had representatives out, Jefferson Lofts, Science Drive, etc....so don't be surprised if you see a few Shock Squad members sporting free t-shirts, oh and free Hurley scarves from Inland Ocean!  That's it for today, I'll be back next week to let ya know how the Club at Firestone goes!  We'll be there on Saturday for Jr. Vasquez's performance to take photos, so look hot and be ready for your close up!
