I love this team...no seriously

Alcohol+crazy sports fans=ABSOLUTE CHAOS!   Ask anyone who was at the Sports Fanatic Pub Crawl this past Saturday, it was just insane...and I'm pretty sure I was told "I love you" by about a bajillion intoxicated gentlemen that night....guess it's the cameras, they're love inducing...or the copious amounts of liquor flowing that night....yeah that sounds more like it.  We tried to do an O-Lens live, but it was kind of hard because the only thing we could get out of these fans was "Heat Baby"  "Cowboys yeah!" and other such short drunken yells for their favorite teams.  Not to say there's anything wrong with that.....wait, yes, yes I am saying that, but I have to say, it did look like everyone was having a great time, and I'm glad that I was there with Jared to capture it all on film :)

Win or Lose--Kinghts still booze

When I was a kid, saturday mornings were reserved for cartoons and pancakes...
During football season, as a college student, they are reserved for tailgating and beer (disclaimer: I don't drink beer, but thousands of other college students do...and the definately did this day)...

Yes, this past Satuday morning the OCB ShockSquaders were out in full effect bright and early to hang out, give out stuff and spend the morning and early afternoon with knights and bulls alike at the Citrus Bowl tailgate...or fanfare...

Now, as a UCF Student, of course I felt more inclined to give away our little goodies (consisting of car CD holders and flyers) to fellow Knights..but we, at OCB are impartial and gave the goods to all that came by our booth... :)

I loved seeing people getting in the game vibe...I am happy that UCF students are developing more school spirit...which we captured on our film...we saw multiple Knightros, Glycerins (that is the female Knightro counterpart for those of you that do not know), and even the BK King (whose mask is a little eerie)...little girls as UCFCheerleaders, and a few great beer helmets...

There were games of flip cup, Drink-o, and some tossing of the football happening at many of the tailgating areas..lots of fun, and good spirit...
There were bonuses for people that were tailgating responsibly (which I think meant not getting drunk off their @$$es)...and lots of free goodies and food.

My only complaint is that the game was in the middle of the day, meaning: peak sunshine and heat hours...and I know if I am complaining about the heat, everyone else must have been dieing...but that is out of our hands--can't change this Floridian weather...

Pretty much was a great tailgate.  Good vibe, free stuff, spirited football fans, and no one threw up on my shoes...so next time the only thing that would make the day better, would be if UCF would actually win.

Come on Knights..I know you can do it...

Sooo Over It

Okay, not really, but I was trying to punny and when the name of the band whose cd release party you attend is "Over It" there are only so many directions in which you can go!  So you know the what, now let's get down to the rest of the details. Monday night, 9/11, has a newer, happier reason to be remembered, it was the day that I first laid eyes upon some of the most glorious musicians I will ever lay eyes upon (Love the overdramatic description?  I'm just full of them)  Before Over It took the stage at 23 (Yes, they fit a stage in 23, rather cozy) there were two other bands to open for them.  The first one, I can't remember their name...I am sure that I knew it at one time, but opening the night with "Randy, I f*cked your girlfriend" kind of makes people forget everything else.  The 2nd band, National Product, now there is something I can remember!  Also because Laurel, Jared, Erin and I chatted up the guitarist, Jeff, before the show and he was ha-larious.  Both of the opening bands made me glad that I'm not deaf, but the real treat (who says treat?!) was Over It.  I was not expecting an emo-type band from Chris Kirkpatrick(I'm not sure how he fits in exactly, I just know it's his project somehow) but I was very pleased when I saw that the lead singer was the most emo looking person of life.  (That's a compliment, ps) There was a great turnout, and I'm sure I won't be the only one who was there to be on the lookout for all of the bands cds in the future!

Save a Horse - Ride to Cowboys!

I've got to be honest... When I imagine a fun
evening in Orlando I usually never think of going to OBT. However, I had this
opinion because I had never been to Cowboys (www.cowboysorlando.com)! Cowboys
average about 2000 people on a Saturday night. Their parking lot is probably
the size of about 4 football fields put together. The drink
specials are outstanding... FREE Longnecks on Saturday (Coors Light, Bud Light,
Budweiser, & Miller Light)! The Guys also get 2 for 1 premium drinks from
10 to 1 & the Ladies get $2.00 premium drinks ALL NIGHT! Every Saturday
night there is a chance to win prizes & every weekend there is a theme
night. The ladies were fortunate to be in attendance last night for "BOOTS
& BACHELORS". Basically - a bunch of guys get on stage, bare their
chest to the crowd, & compete to win cash. I wasn't into the Boots &
Bachelors all that much, but next week is the Miller Light "MOST WANTED
COWGIRL" contest. I will probably find that more interesting.

Jason the DJ is way cool. He plays the best Country Music & keeps the dance
floor packed at all times. He also plays some Hip Hop to mix it up. I will
admit that it is kind of fun watching a bunch of cowboy hats dance to
"Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake.

I was very impressed with the crowd. I met people from all over Central
Florida... Titusville was definitely represented well. I also met people from
Maryland, Georgia, & Missouri! Bridgett from St. Louis is in town visiting
her friends for one week & she has been to Cowboys 3 times already! Most
people go to the various Disney Parks 3 times during a one-week stay in
Orlando. Right?

The moral of the story... Get your arse down to Cowboys & have good ole
time. Don't be afraid to let out a "yee haw" or "yee doggie".
Be sure to use words such as "ya'll" & "get r done". Oh
yeah... it always helps to know some rascal flats, but it is not a requirement
:)

Feeding the Dragon

The Dragon Room on Church Street is quite the meat market. Please do
yourself a favor... if you hate beautiful well-dressed people then stay away
from this place. I would definitely rank The Dragon Room as one of my
favorite clubs in Orlando. Natasha & I had the opportunity
to stop by on Friday night. We had a blast. Obviously, we shot the video outside of the club & took
our pictures inside. I also ran into my good friend Xtine who was in town from Miami
(I have not seen her in 2 years!). I don't think that I can say enough good
things about this trendy haven.

I need to give props to Tasha by the way... she is the
newest member of our Orlando City Beat Shock Squad. She did an awesome job
& I was very proud of her. She rocks... so check her out & show some
love Orlando!25228434
