The Higher

I figure with tonight being the opening night of the Anti-pop festival, and the fact that The Higher nearly sold out the Social when they came through town on the Epitaph tour earlier this spring, that it was the early time-slot along with the cold and windy weather that kept Aka Lounge at a quarter capacity.

Or it was the fact that myspace and the speed of the internet are making bands a “flash in the pan” faster than ever before.  But those young men from Vegas sounded way better live than they do on myspace or the internet in general.

So much better that they got the minimal crowd in attendance actually singing along and clapping to the beat with crowd favorites like “Movement” and “Histronics” throughout their very short set.
