Bliss
Yay, another ultra lounge is celebrating its grand opening in Orlando tonight! Bottle service and velvet ropes and overpriced drinks, oh my! What's its name? Bliss! Isn't that just so perfect?
Blech, is more like it.
Who knows, maybe this one will be different? I love imitating my old record player when attempting to find hope in this high-end crap that trys to make its way into this city only to find massive crowds the first three to four months it opens and then a steady decline in foot traffic from there on out.
Why? Because Orlando doesn't have the amount of people or cash that places like NY or Miami do to sustain that kind of scene. A couple are fine, but seriously the oversaturation happened like a year or two ago. Give it a rest.
Best of all, it's on West Church Street, where they would have auctioned off Lou Pearlman yesterday, if Jabba had the guts to show his face in this town again.
Then again, the Improv made the Cameron Kuhn cuts after he bought Church Street Station, maybe Bliss has a chance, he did have them sign a lease while others were given the boot.
Only the bouncer at the door can tell in the end.
If you want to check it out for yourself, Bliss is at 123 W. Church St. in downtown Orlando. For more info call 407-849-5060.
